My sweet boy B has been BFF’s with Makayla since daycare and they have continued their friendship now through their upcoming middle school years. When I saw that Makayla had started her own macaron company with her mom Reena I was stoked. I met with Reena and Makayla and got the 411 on their local Frisco company Macayla’s Macarons. I asked Makayla when she discovered that she loved to bake. She told me that she always loved to bake and the first thing she created was a funconfetti cake around 4 years old! Reena even got her a kitchen aid mixer to help their baking process. Recently, Makayla’s Macarons has catered 200 macarons for a friends birthday and supplied tasty treats for a wedding 🎂! From chocolate to pumpkin spice, Makayla loves to experiment with flavors and beautiful rich colors to compliment them.
Reena let me know that they would be baking me up a batch and I was soooo excited! She asked what color I would like and of course I said Tiffany blue. (Turns out Makayla loves this color too and was thrilled to mix the perfect shade) Let’s talk taste, OMG Makayla’s Macarons are sooooooo good!!! The cookie was light and crispy, the filling was perfectly sweet but not overly so and the color came out beautiful!! We receive three fillings consisting of chocolate, lemon and cake batter (cake batter was def my fave!)
