Puppy Manners Class with Sass

Penny being a “good girl”

So at the beginning of the year we lost our 13 year old shi-poo Zoey and could not imagine life with out a fur baby at home. We quickly got a sweet new puppy, a Goldendoodle, and my youngest named her Penny. Some friends of ours and our vet recommended What A Great Dog training. Once the vet told us she was ready, I called to set up a consultation to find out if she could be enrolled in Puppy Manners 101. Number one, they told us to bring TONS of treats. What A Great Dog focuses on positive reinforcements so a variety of treats are key because they def get bored after a while if you just bring one kind. Penny passed the consult and was actually ready for big gurl class! We are now on class number two and we are working on sitting, not biting (a biggie for us with those razor sharp puppy teeth), staying, being on a loose leash without pulling and learning to sit on her “Penny Mat” so she can get used to chilling on it. This will eventually be used at restaurants so she knows where to hang out and relax while we eat. Right now Penny gets pretty pooped after 30 minutes but she is definitely learning and we are well on our way to a well behaved pup! Everyone that works at What A Great Dog is so sweet with the pups and they have an AMAZING variety of treats, toys, foods and other cool pup products in their doggie boutique! The 6 week training is $165 which is an amazing price and the strategies and tips you learn can be used at home for other training you decide to do later on!
